2010 new coin to
mark 150 years of existence of the Income Tax department Income
Tax department has decided to celebrate 24th July, as the annual Income Tax Day
from this year, to mark 150 years of existence of this levy. “Since
income tax was first levied as a duty in the year 1860 and the authority to
levy that duty came into force on July 24 of that year, it is proposed to
celebrate this day as the Income Tax Investiture Day,” a finance ministry
official said. On
July 24, 2010, the department will hold a function in the national capital,
which would be inaugurated by the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee. “On
this day, some officers would be awarded. Besides, formal logo of income tax
department will be adopted,” he said. The
income tax department would also celebrate its 150th year of existence from
24th July this year to 24th July next year. During

2010 100 years of Mother Teresa Mutter Teresa (bürgerlich Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu * 26. August 1910; † 5. September 1997) war Trägerin des
Friedensnobelpreises. Als römisch-katholische Ordensschwester führte sie ein
Leben nach den Evangelischen Räten, so dass sie ihr Leben lang unverheiratet
blieb. Von der römisch-katholischen Kirche wurde sie 2003 selig gesprochen. Mother Teresa (Anjezë
Gonxhe Bojaxhiu * 26. August
1910; † 5. September 1997) was winner of the Nobel Peace Prize. As roman
catholic nun led them to live by the evangelical counsels, so that they all
their lives unmarried remained. Of
the Roman Catholic Church was 2003 beatified. |

7.05.1861) am 9. Mai 2010 bekannt. Er war bengalischer Dichter, Philosoph,
Maler, Komponist, Musiker und Brahmo-Samaj-Anhänge. 1913 erhielt
er den Literatur-Nobel-Preis und war damit der erste asiatische Nobelpreisträger. † 7. August 1941 Wichtig zu bemerken
ist, dass erstmalig in der indischen Geschichte ein 150 Rupie-Stück heraus
gegeben wird. Der andere Ausgabewert ist ein 5 Rupien-Stück in Cu-Ni (nicht
Messing). India will issue coins on 150 years of Rabindranath Tagore (birth 7th May 1861) on 9th May. He was bengali poet, philosopher, painter, composer, musician and Brahmo Samaj-attachments. 1913 he received the Literature Nobel prize and was the first Asian Nobel Prize winners. † 7. 2010 Thanjavur Tempel Die Indische Regierung
hat einen Antrag von Tamil Nadu akzeptiert zur Herausgabe eine spezielle
Münze mit dem berühmten Sri a Brahadeeswarar Tempel in Thanjavur zum Gedenken
an die 1000 Jahren seiner Existenz. Der Tempel ist eine
einzigartige Dravidianische Architektur und wurde von der UNESCO als
Weltkulturerbe Denkmal aufgenommen. The Union government has accepted Tamil Nadu's request to release a
special coin featuring the famous Sri a Brahadeeswarar temple at Thanjavur to
commemorate 1000 years of its existence. The temple had unique Dravidian architecture

2010 RBI platinum jubilee / 75. Jahrestag Die Reserve Bank of
India, startete am 1. April 1935 und feiert seinen 75. Jahrestag in diesem Jahr. Bei dieser Gelegenheit
hat die Reserve Bank eine Ausstellung arrangiert mit allen die ausgegebenen
Banknoten seit ihren Anfängen. Die Ausstellung ist in
der Reserve Bank eigenem Museum und bleibt geöffnet für das Publikum bis zum
30. Juni 2010. Der Eintritt zur Ausstellung ist kostenlos. Briefmarken sind
bereits veröffentlicht. (siehe links) Völlig neu wäre die
Herausgabe von 75 Rupies! Das Set besteht aus fünf Werten - Re 1, Rs
2, Rs 5, Rs 10 und Rs 75. Die vier ersten Werte werden ebenfalls als
Umlaufmünzen heraus gegeben. Bilder
sind noch nicht verfügbar. Jedoch, die ersten Details von
RBI veröffentlicht sind wie folgt: Mit dem Embleme der
Reservebank von Indien, der Palme und dem Tiger. 1 und 2 Rupie sind aus Stahl (83% Eisen,

Reserve Bank of India which started operations on April 1, 1935 is
celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year. To mark this occasion, the
Reserve Bank has arranged an exhibition of all the banknotes issued since its
inception. The exhibition is in the Reserve Bank's Monetary Museum and will
remain open for public viewing till June 30, 2010. Entry to the exhibition is
free. Stamps have already been

2010 “Dr.
Rajendra
Prasad 125th Birthday” Regierung von Indien
gibt neue Gedenkmünzenzum 125. Geburtstag von Dr. Rajendra Prasad heraus. Die
Münzen wurden vorgestellt am 25. Feb. 2010
in Patna vom Vizepräsident. Die Münzen werden in den Werten von 100
und 5 Rupies in der Kolkata-Müntstätte geprägt. Dr. Rajendra Prasad
war der erste Präsident von Indien. Er
wurde geboren im Jahre 1884; so ist 2010 sein 126. Geburtstag. Somit
ein merkwürdiger Grund, die Münzen zum Gedenken an seinem 125. Geburtstag
herausgegeben werden in seinem 126. Jahr!! Mehr seltsam, die Münzen
herausgegeben nach seinem Todestag (28 Feb). Nach Hindu-Religion sind die Todes- Jahrestage nicht gerade
glückverheißend. GOI issued new commemorative coins on 125th
Anniversary of Dr Rajendra Prasad. The coins were released in Patna on 28 Feb
10 by our Vice President . The coins are in denomination of Rs 100 & Rs 5
and minted by Kolkata Mint. Dr Rajendra Prasad was the first President of
India. Dr Rajendra Prasad was born in 1884; so 2010 is his 126th year. Thus for a strange reason, the coins to commemorate
his 125th year were issued in his 126th year!! More strangely, the coins were
issued on his death anniversary (28 Feb). As per Hindu religion, death
anniversaries are not considered auspicious. |

Trinidad & Tobago zum Gedenken an "60 Jahre des Commonwealth".
Es gibt zwei Stückelungen 5 Rupien (Kupfer-Nickel) und 100 Rubine (Silber
+andere). Der
Gipfel in Port of Spain deckt sich mit dem 60. Jahrestag des Commonwealth. Indien,
als Gründungsmitglied des Commonwealth, feiert den 60. Jahrestag mit einer
Reihe von Initiativen. Indien

freigegeben Ersttagsbriefe und Briefmarken zu diesem Anlass als Ausdruck der

Anna” Birth
Centenary 5 Rs C.N.(Conjeevaram Natarajan) Annadurai = “Perarignar Anna” C.N.Annadurai liebevoll
genannt und in Tamil Nadu bekannt als “Perarignar Anna”. C.N.
Annadurai, fondly called as “Perarignar Anna”, is a household name in post -
independent Tamil Nadu. Zu Ehren des sozialen Reformers und ehemaligen Chef
Ministers von Tamil Nadu Thiru Annadurai, zum
100. Geburtstag am 15. September. (in diesem Jahr der 101.) 15.09.1908-03.02.1969 Annadurais Beiträge in
der Politik, Tamil Literatur, Theater, Kino und sozialen Reformen sind
bekannt. Er war ein Anhänger des e.V. R. 12, der Gründer der Dravida Kazhagam
und er war in der vordersten Front der
Rationalist Bewegung. Annadurai hat einen hohen Stellenwert in der
Bevölkerung von Tamil Nadu sowie bei Tamilen auf der ganzen Welt. Tamil

nicht verfügbar Coimbatore: Die Coimbatore Münze Gesellschaft
appelliert an die Regierung auf, die im September im Staat herausgegebene
Gedenkmünze von C.N. Annadurai zur Verfügung zu stellen. Der
Sekretär der Gesellschaft T.M. Ravichandran sagte die Münzen zur Freigabe
würden nur geprägt im Mumbai, Noida, Kolkata und Hyderabad und werden durch
die Reserve Bank von Indien in den Umlauf gebracht. Wenige
Monaten vorherwurde eine Gedenkmünze von Saint Alphonsa in Mumbai geprägt und
in Kerala herausgegeben. Die
Münze war verfügbar für Sammler in
Kerala und für Sammler in anderen Teilen des Landes die diese von ihnen
kauften. Eine
Gedenkmünze wurde in Tanil Nadu herausgegeben während der der Feier von Anna
hundertstem Jubiläum. Diese wurden geprägt
in Kolkata. Jedoch, die Münze war nicht verfügbar für die Münzsammler
in dem Staat. Er
sagte das die Regierung sicherstellen will, dass die Münze im Staat verfügbar
sein wird. Die „Reserve Bank of
India“ wird in Kürze 5 Rs Münzen (Bi-Metall) zum 100. Geb. von Perarignar Anna

and social reforms are well known. Wednesday, Oct 28, 2009 “The
Hindu” Tamil Nadu Commemorative
coin not available COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore Coin Society has appealed
to the Government to make available the commemorative coin of C.N. Annadurai
released in the State in September. The society’s secretary T.M. Ravichandran has said
in a release that coins were minted only at Mumbai, Noida, Kolkata and
Hyderabad in the country and were circulated through the Reserve Bank of
India. A few months ago, a commemorative coin of Saint
Alphonsa was minted in Mumbai and released in Kerala. This coin was available with coin collectors in
Kerala and coin collectors in other parts of the country purchased the coin
from them. A commemorative coin was released in Tamil Nadu
during the Anna centenary celebrations. This was minted in Kolkata. However, the coin was not available for the coin
collectors in the State. The Government should ensure that this coin was
available in the State, he said. The
Reserve Bank of India is shortly put into circulation coins of Rs 5/-
Denomination (Nickel Brass ) issued by Government of India on the occasion of
the Birth Centenary of “Perarignar Anna”. 23mm

am 29. September 2009 zum Geburtstags- Jubiläums des Homi Bhabha,
Chef-Architekt von Indien‘s Nuklearprogramm. Interessanterweise, Dr
Bhabha geboren am 30. Oktober aber die Münzen wurden veröffentlicht einen
Monat früh, um deckungsgleich mit der internationalen Konferenz zur
friedlichen Nutzung der Atomenergie zu sein. Released two

10 at Vigyan Bhawan on 29 September 2009, on birth centenary of Homi Bhabha,
chief architect of India’s nuclear programme. Interestingly, Dr

New circulation commemorative 2 Rupees - Braille To mark the birth bi-centenary of Louis
Braille, the Government of India has released commemorative coins of Rs.100 and
Rs.2 denominations on 4th January 2009.Rs 2 coin
will also be issued in circulation issue. Louis Braille (born in French; January 4,
1809 – January 6, 1852) was the inventor of braille, a world-wide system used by blind

2009 “Sister
Alphonsa” Government of India has decided to issue
a commemorative coin in the honour of Sister Alphonsa who will be canonized by
the Pope as a Saint on October 12, 2008 in the Vatican. This was announced by
Finance Minister, Shri P. Chidambaram today. Sister Alphonsa belonged to the
Poor Franciscan Clarist Congregation in Kerala. She is the first Indian who
will be canonized as a Saint by the Catholic Church. Sister Alphonsa was born
on August 19, 1910 and her centenary year will commence on August 19, 2009
and will be celebrated for one year. The commemorative coin will be released

2008 SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH BIRTH
CENTENARY 1907-2007 5/100 Rs
Bhagat Singh was an Indian freedom fighter, considered to be
one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence
movement. He is often referred to as Shaheed Bhagat Singh (the arabic
word Shaheed means "martyr"). Bhagat Singh war ein indischer Kämpfer für die
Freiheit, einer der einflussreichsten Revolutionäre der indischen
Unabhängigkeitsbewegung. Er wird oft als Shaheed Bhagat Singh
bezeichnet (das arabische Wort „Shaheed“ bedeutet "Märtyrer"). A controversy has already begun with pointing out
that the Portrait of Bhagat Singh as depicted on the coin shows him with a
hat rather than a turban. Most conventional pictures of Bhagat Singh do show
him wearing a hat, though in recent times there have been instances depicting
him wearing a turban including the installation of a Statue in Parliament’s
precincts. Bhagat Singh’s family was consulted on the current coin portrait
and have expressed their satisfaction accordingly. However Sikh groups
claiming him as one of their Pre-independence martyrs, have sought the coin
image to be changed. VADODARA: A coin collector of Godhra has spotted a
typographical error on the packaging of a set of commemorative coins. The
collector Dr Nandan Parikh has discovered not one but two errors on the case
of a set of commemorative coins on Shahid Bhagat Singh that were unveiled on
the occasion of his birth centenary in 2007. Eine
