2006 golden jubilee of the ONGC 1956 - 2006 ONGC = Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd Two commemorative Indian coins were released on 14th August 2006 at Dehradun, India  to mark the golden jubilee of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (ONGC). ONGC is premier oil and gas company of India and credited to be one of the  biggest wealth-creator for India. Marking the august Golden Jubilee valedictory celebrations of ONGC, two commemorative coins were released - of denominations Rs. 5 and Rs.50. The coins were launched by Minister of State for Finance Mr Pawan Kumar Bansal in the presence of Chief Minister of Uttaranchal Mr Narain Datt Tiwari and  Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Mr Murli Deora. 5 Rs.
